FLORIDA UNARMED SECURITY D COURSE

Registrants in the Unarmed Security D Course will learn the basic principles of security, including physical security, access control, terrorism awareness, and emergency procedures. Skill development shall include report writing, interviewing techniques, crime, and accident prevention techniques. All course materials will comply with F.S. 493 and legal guidelines 5N-1.

LICENSE ARMED SECURITY GUARD

Registrants will learn the requirements for employment as an armed security officer as required by Florida State Statutes Section 493, 775, and 790.

CONCEALED WEAPON COURSE

Registrants will learn the basic requirements for carrying a concealed weapon as required by the State of Florida. This is for civilian use only and does not apply towards any security guard licensing. ● 4 – Hours of Training ● Gun Range

G recertification

The State of Florida requires that all Florida License “G” armed security officers requalify at least once per year with the type of handgun that they carry on duty. Students that successfully requalify will be given proof of re-qualification to provide to the State to maintain their Class “G” License. The cost for this 4-hour class is $95.00 and includes: ● Florida 493 and 5N-1 legal updates and review ● Written Examination ● Firearms Requalification t & Training Weapon
